Before joining Advanced Bionics (AB), I spent over 19 years in IT roles. After transitioning to AB as a Business Analyst in March 2008, I explored various facets of manufacturing operations, gaining invaluable experience in purchasing, planning, and manufacturing. This opportunity significantly contributed to my career development.

My commitment to AB is driven by my belief in our products and the supportive team environment. Leadership support and a proactive approach to learning and improvement have been key to my career growth at AB, allowing me to contribute effectively to our operations and manufacturing processes. I encourage colleagues to fully embrace the task at hand, as it is the door to a whole array of opportunities.

With over 36 years as an audiologist, I've found profound joy and inspiration in helping people through my profession. In 2013, I was invited to be part of the founding team ofthe Schoonenberg Expertise Centers, which evolved into our World of Hearing stores, and now I'm part of the Audiological Services team, specializing in Lyric. My contribution to Sonova is my enthusiasm for innovation: I am particularly proud of how the World of Hearing stores have now expanded globally.

Looking ahead, I'm excited about the holistic approach to hearing care at Sonova, anticipating a broader range of services beyond hearing aids, like our cognition-based tinnitus counseling, Silent Cloud. What fulfills me most at work is the ability to make a difference in the lives of those with hearing loss and to inspire my colleagues. It’s the most beautiful profession in the world. At 60, I find that age is irrelevant at Sonova; the passion for our field keeps the work engaging and the learning continuous.

Since joining Sonova in 2017 and working for Phonak China, I've leveraged my advertising and marketing background to support brand and business growth, transitioning to a commercial marketing manager role for APAC in 2021. My work focuses on aiding our Group Companies in APAC in achieving commercial excellence, bridging local and HQ efforts, and implementing best practices. The creativity and collaboration within our diverse team inspire me, offering continuous learning from different professional backgrounds. Looking ahead, I aim to explore new marketing roles and apply my experiences in fresh contexts, staying open to learning new skills.

Knowing that my work is helping gives me a sense of fulfillment. My advice to colleagues is to embrace change, recognizing both the challenges and opportunities it brings, especially in the dynamic hearing aid industry. Continuous learning and adaptation are key to staying competitive in a rapidly evolving market.
